11:11 PM, August 21, 2008 "What did you wish for?" Selena opened her eyes. "If I tell you, it won’t come true." Demi rolled her eyes at her best friend of eight years. She didn’t know why she even asked anymore; Selena’s answer was always the same. "Come on, let’s dance again," Demi said, pulling Selena off of the couch. Selena was glad for the distraction. Every time Demi asked her that, she had to literally bite her tongue to keep herself from spilling out her secret: that every wish she made was for the very girl in front of her. The music thudded out of the large speakers and sweaty bodies surrounded them. Demi watched Selena sway, spin and jump to the beat. She would always be the better dancer of the two. Demi herself had no rhythm and would always latch onto Selena if she got lost. Like now for instance. She didn’t want to look stupid dancing- trying to dance- that was all, Demi thought as she slipped her arms around her best friends neck. Best friend. This is what everyone does with her best friend. And when that familiar feeling gripped the pit of her stomach and pulled it downward into that unknown territory, she ignored it. Meanwhile, Selena was in turmoil. This was her favorite and most hated thing to do, dancing with Demi. She loved the feel of the girl, rubbing and wrapping around her, then had to fight back the tears knowing it was all innocent fun to her. Still, she allowed herself this tortuous indulgence. It was all she had. Demi smiled at Selena- God …

My son has a manual job and even though he showers every day and uses a good quality deodorant his shirt armpits get a bit sweaty. I use a good brand of washing detergent but sometimes the armpits still smell a little sweaty. Is there anything I can treat them with before I wash them to help stop this.
Put some bi-carbonate of soda in with the washing powder, works for my smellies!
I have been having sweaty palms and feet for so many years now and I’m sick of it. I don’t shake peoples hand and they always think I’m mean but really it’s just the sweaty hands. And i can’t really wear flip flops because my feet will become slippery. Is there any techniques or easy way to treat this bad condition?
You can get an iontophoresis device, which stops sweating for up to 6 weeks. The Drionic is a fairly inexpensive device, but there are others out there.
Im a 16 year old boy. I play sports quite a bit and the sweaty hands are annoying during sports. What is a good remedy for when i am playing sports?
hey, I have sweaty hands too. Why haven’t I asked this yet?
I get really sweaty after Gym and get sweaty in general what is the best deodorant for me?
I use Degree. Its good stuff however you should regardless of what you use stay away from the clear gels as they will take the skin off your armpits. Its happened to me and alot of my friends. Use something that is white or kind of like a powder. The gel makes your pits sticky and the skin get sore.
I have an auditon today for the flute and if I have sweaty palms, it could seriously damage my playing/or ability to keep holding the flute. Is there any quick ways to stop the sweaty palms–besides the obvious stop being nervous relief?
well sometimes my brother gets nervous and has sweaty palms so we put baby powder on them. that way when you get nervous your hands might still be dry
It is always coming from T-shirts. I wash them all the time, I’ve tried using Tide with Febreeze and Bounce with Febreeze, I’ve tried bleach on the white shirts and NOTHING works. Some shirts are almost brand new but still develop that smell. Its an old cottony/sweaty kind of smell, hard to explain but i’m sure you get what I mean. PLEASE HELP!!! I dont want to have to throw all these shirts out!
NOPE, I am not leaving the clothes in the wash too long. I always put them in the dryer immediately. I hate that “sour” rag smell too so I make sure to dry them ASAP and thoroughly! Thanks for all the suggestions, I will try them all.
My roommate’s tees are extremely odoriferous. I use oxyclean as a booster and some Downey Simple Pleasures (Orange and
Magnolia) in the rinse and the odors come right out!
You may want to also check that the shirts are 100% dry when you take them out of the dryer. Check the storages areas (closet or drawers) for moisture or mold.
The sweaty smell of my shirts after washing and drying still there. I used to jog a lot, and perspired a lot.
Try vinegar in the water, and then rinse. The vinegar may make it itchy so rinse well.
Next stop, trash.
I am wondering what the technique is. I can’t believe that it is real sweat because that is 1)pretty gross, and 2)it seems like there must be an easier, more efficient way to make an actor appear sweaty than actually getting him to sweat. How do movie makers do this?
They are sprayed between takes, and yes. It’s usually just the regular little spray bottle you can buy for a dollar at Wal Mart. Can I just say, I’d like that job… {:
I’m at a desk for 12 hours at a time and can’t leave the control room and my butt cheeks are sweaty, and I use gold bond powder but I have butt sweat break through. Not in the crack but on the cheeks. It’s the leather chair!
aw, lol..try wearing thicker underwear! and more baby powder!
