Heres my acne experience and advice, thing ive learnt etc. Instead of spot treating, if you have recurrent acne, find the CAUSE – stop going crazy with topical treatmentes, they only dry out your skin. Accutane cleared up acne for me, but it was temporary, acne came back after 6 months, and it caused me Irritable Bowel Syndrome – was not worth it. I reccomend chemical peels for acne – esspecially azelaic acid peel for redness/inflammation and pimples with scars. But it is not a cure, it just speeds up recovery Topical anti acne treatments are useless – stick to natural things like tea tree oil and aloe vera – everything else will just dry out your skin and cause pigmentation. If you suspect you may have hormonal acne, get hormone tests before started birth control to know for sure. Spironolactone is for hormonal acne, works better that birth control – also has its side effects, but clears up acne well. I use AVENE Cleanance gel – CLEANSER Clinique Moisture Surge – MOisturizer Avene SPF 30 Oil Free Sunscreen – Sunscreen Tea Tree Oil/Aloe Vera for spots Possibily starting on bc or spirinolactone ANy more questions/opinions/advice, message me
